I just started reading your blog and was delighted to learn that you are interested in urban homesteading. I’ve been interested in rural homesteading for over forty years and, like you, have developed a recent passion for tiny houses. Thanks for the links on your blog–I wasn’t aware of some of them.
If you ever want to visit a rural homestead, you and Will would be most welcome to visit mine. Unfortunately it is a two hour drive from Saskatoon on a farm northwest of North Battleford. But maybe next summer . . .

I will certainly take you up on your invitation – I would love to visit a rural homestead. Definitely next summer. I’m canning the last of our tomatoes as I write this, and then I think my canning for the summer is finally over! Homesteading, even urban, is a lot of work, but I find it really “de-stresses” me from the pace of the modern city life. Do you have chickens or goats?

Yeah, that’s the norm – the bigger, the better. There’s something so beautiful about the simplicity and efficiency of a tiny house. I’m learning to live with less.
