The coop reno is progressing. A bit more paint, a bit more chicken wire, and it should be done this week.
We had an egg thief on Sunday morning. Liesl woke me up at 7:30 a.m., screeching and bokking. I went out to calm her down, and then went back to sleep. But later when I fed them and cleaned the run, I found one of her eggs, sucked dry and crushed to bits under the coop. It’s an alley cat that lurks around our yard. He’s stolen an egg before. Usually, the dogs chase him away.
The Zig likes to help by barking at the girls and trying to bite their tail feathers.
Don’t trust those puppy dog eyes. He’s a sly one.
