Pets. My life would be miserable without animals. I was totally thrilled to find a whole slide show of upcycle projects for pets on marthastewart.com
Here’s my faves:

This pooch travels with all the comforts of home. Make a lightweight travel bed for your pup by upcycling old towels. (photo: marthastewart.com)

From menswear to mice-wear. These catnip toys made from old sports coats will buy your cat’s love for a day. Maybe. (photo: marthastewart.com)

Never leave home without them! This little clip-on pouch is made from fused plastic shopping bags*. So clever. (photo: marthastewart.com)
*Two weeks ago, I had never heard of fusing plastic shopping bags, and now I see it everywhere. Here’s a tutorial to explain the process.

That tutorial is amazing! I am so excited to have another way to use the plastic bags I save
It’s pretty neat, isn’t it? I haven’t tried it yet – I hope I’ll find time sometime during the summer. Probably best to do the fusing outside, that way you know you’re in a well-ventilated area.
